Very cool, nice idea and as you say, extremely good execution! I doubt it was the dictaphone displayed in the film though, the trip must've taken at least 24 hours, and I seriously don't think an old reel-to-reel dictaphone can record continuously for that long... my bet is that it was a small digital one with a flash memory. But the vintage one certainly looks good in the film. :)
