This is apparently a 2010 film made in the style of a 1970's 'giallo' film, i.e. Dario Argento, Mario Bava... Love the poster and the trailer seems intriguing enough...

Check out this documentary on Reynold Brown, it is a must see for illustrators and a great film for everyone else interested in monstermovies and monstermovieposters. Awesome!

Meatcleaver Massacre

Found this film poster by accident... the film has only got a 2.6 out of 10 on the imdb, but I don't care. I want to see it anyway.


UPDATE: What really cracks me up is that according to reviews, there is not a single meatcleaver anywhere in the film.

Sweaty Dudes and Bloody Blades

I found this link to a collection of awesome movie posters from Pakistan. It is so great because it is painted so fierce, thick, direct and colorfull. Not perfect, not smooth but rather expressive. It's a bloody mess!

The Wrong Side of Art

A friend brought this wonderfull website to my attention: The Wrong Side of Art. A great collection of B-movie posters, in high resolution and well organised. It is a great source for sweet typography, classic compositions and use of color. Because the posters are posted in high resolution I also love to study the marks of time on them, the dust and scratches, folds and ripped edges. Most of these movies are probably not suitable for watching, but oh boy I love the art! Even if it comes from the wrong side...
